Dear TAPT Members,
My name is Brian Gibson and I am running to be your 23-24 TAPT President Elect. I owe my career in this industry to some great mentors and TAPT. I began my career as a router for North East ISD. It was while there that I learned of TAPT and the courses they provided to help people grow in transportation. With the valuable lessons I learned at NEISD and beginning my TAPT education, I moved on to Comal ISD where I was given the opportunity to become a Station Supervisor. While there I received my “Supervisor Certification” and later “Officials Certification”. In 2012 I was offered the Director position at New Braunfels ISD where I am still blessed to call home. I served on the local chapter of CENTEX Executive Committee for 6 years, ending as Ex-Officio in 18-19. I feel my experiences with CENTEX allowed me to grow and be prepared for the TAPT Executive Committee where I have been Area 4 Director, Parliamentarian and currently as your Secretary. Through TAPT I have met some of the greatest people. Many I am blessed to call my friends and consider family. I am fortunate to be where I am and it’s because of this organization and the people that have influenced me as well as the valuable education TAPT has provided. It’s for those reasons that I would be honored to serve as your President Elect.
