Director of Transportation
Beeville ISD
Fellow
Transportation Colleagues,
I am Ernest
Del Bosque. I am seeking your support to
allow me the opportunity to serve you as President Elect for the Texas
Association of Pupil Transportation’s Executive Committee.
I am
currently serving on the Executive Committee as Area 5 Director representing
the Coastal Bend and South Texas Chapters.
I have previously served on the Executive Committee as Area 2 Director,
(2013-14) and Secretary, (2015-16). I
have also served as Historian, Treasurer, President Elect, President, and Past
President of the Coastal Bend APT. In
North Texas, I was President Elect, President and Past President of the North
Texas APT and I have truly enjoyed the duties, responsibilities and the many personal
relationships that have accompanied these positions. I would like to continue being involved in
the organization primarily to continue the awesome job that this group does in
representing the many Districts across the State and possess the necessary
experience to serve as YOUR representative.
I am the Director
of Transportation for the Beeville Independent School District since 2001, but
went to Garland ISD in 2011 as Assistant Director. The opportunity to return to Beeville
manifested in 2018 and I returned home.
Here at “home”, I am blessed to work alongside my Dad, who is a bus
driver at the very youthful age of 81 and up until very recently, alongside
with my Daughter, who returned to North Texas to work at Dallas ISD as a bus
driver. Having 3 generations of
transportation professionals at one district is one of the best things
ever! The best aspect of my life is
being married to Carol Barnhart, Director of Transportation for Calallen ISD. Being in a family that lives and understand
our sometimes crazy career path is a bonus!
I am ready
to accept the highly detailed duties and responsibilities that the office of President
Elect demands and sincerely appreciate your support for my commitment to the
TAPT organization.
