I am Karol
Stephens-Day, the Director of Transportation at Allen ISD. I previously served for the past 9 years in Crandall ISD as Coordinator of Transportation, routing coordinator, dispatcher, and
bus driver. I am also the Secretary for the North Texas TAPT Chapter, through
which I am happy to support our Northern area of TAPT Members. I've dedicated
the past 15 years to education and have experienced an immense reward within
the transportation industry.
I achieved
Summa Cum Laude honors from Texas A&M Commerce with a bachelor's in
Organizational Development concentrating on human resources. There I learned
the benefits of servant leadership and its value in the world of the big yellow
bus. My passion lies in supporting and encouraging transportation staff, making
it not just a job but a purpose that colors my professional journey.
My home in
Crandall is shared with my husband Mark and our three wonderful children:
Stephen, Olivia, and Theodore. I work in transportation, so my free time is
usually spent sleeping.
I am asking
you for your support for the TAPT Treasurer position. In this position I hope
to give back to this wonderful association that has given so much to me. I have
met friends, mentors, and colleagues who have lifted and supported me along my
career path, and I want to give back to this culture of support and growth. I
hope to help support this board in their endeavors to help better the safe
transportation of school children across Texas.
