My name is Laura Carter; I began my journey in Pupil Transportation in 1987 as a Bus Driver. In 2004 I became a Routing Specialist. I was promoted to Transportation Supervisor in 2009 and moved into the Director position in 2011. Over my 35-year career, I have had the privilege of working with several Texas districts which include Caddo Mills, Royse City, Terrell, Greenville and I am now proudly serving Rockwall ISD.
I have been actively involved with our local North Texas APT since 2008. I have held the office of President for NTAPT and ETAPT along with various other assignments on the chapter level executive committee including Historian. I have a strong devotion to School Bus Road-eo and have functioned as Road-eo chair and co-chair for many years.
I absolutely love my job and what T.A.P.T accomplishes year after year. I believe that I have the experience and passion to serve our state well as Historian for the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation.
