The Texas Education Agency currently has a committee working on Transportation Funding Process Improvements.   Some of the recommendations from the committee will be short term and some are long term.  Statutory law currently provides for using the linear density formula, two mile eligible and hazardous transportation.  But most of the rest of the process is established by TEA interpretation and setting up the funding policies and procedures.
